Muriel’s passion for her craft and calm demeanor has resulted in a career that has taken her from Paris to Hollywood, from the French elite to Hollywood’s Who’s Who.

In recent years, the national media has caught on to what her loyal clients have always known, allowing the rest of country to see Muriel Mastey’s talents in action as a guest star on The Rachel Ray Show, E! News, CNN, Access Hollywood and Extra, among many others.

Additionally, Muriel’s pioneering Hair Bootcamp goes a step further by empowering clients with tools and step-by-step styling techniques to replicate and maintain their unique looks outside the salon.

Muriel Mastey was born in Morocco and spends her childhood with shears in hand, cutting and coloring her dolls’ hair. It was a foreshadowing of her inevitable destiny when years later, Muriel Mastey was anointed personal stylist to the most famous doll creator in the world: Barbie’s Ruth Handler.

Working with hair has actually been Muriel’s birthright as she comes from a long line of hair gurus. Most notably, her uncle was the stylist of choice for the famed Coco Chanel in Paris. When Muriel moved to the French capital at the age of 7, she spent her young life watching family members coiffing the French elite. By 18, she was training with the prestigious L’Oreal Paris Advanced Color Training Institute at Rue Royale. Thereafter she was chosen to work directly with Jean-Louis David on his hair collections, at the Flagship salon next to the Champs Elysees in Paris. She remained there before moving to Beverly Hills. Muriel spent 11 years as a leading stylist at the well-known Cristophe Salon before opening Point De Vue with her husband and business partner, Xavier Guerin. After 14 years at the Wetherly location Point de Vue moved to its new location to be announced.

“My goal is to help women realize how much natural beauty they possess,” says Muriel. “I want my customers to feel confident and radiant. Here at Point de Vue, we help you find your own beauty, while embracing change and transformation.”

Muriel’s innate ability to meld a person’s inner and outer beauty has made her a favorite among many of today’s most glamorous silver screen stars. Beauties like Sharon Stone and Eva Mendes have known to first step inside Muriel’s Point de Vue salon before stepping out on a red carpet.

Through her careful choices of color, cuts and styling, along with thoughtful and deliberate considerations of the individual, Muriel was able to transform the looks of celebrities and clients alike. She has tended to the needs of the likes of Patty and Bruce Springsteen, Rosario Dawson, Michelle Trachtenberg and Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meister among many others.

Today Muriel Mastey is working on creating her new hair collections and how to impact her client with innovative way to educate them.
